True to our principles of co-design and active participation, we involve young people directly in our activities and projects through Youth Advisory Boards (YAB).
The YABs are groups of young people aged 15 to 25, who take an active role in working with our partner organisations to ensure that their perspectives, needs, and ideas are central to our work.
They act as a bridge between adults and young people: they listen, observe, and help us create connections between generations, languages, and different points of view.
The topics they work on are many and central to everyone’s wellbeing: violence prevention, child protection, LGBTQIA+ rights, psychological wellbeing, gender identity and comprehensive sexuality education.
This participatory approach not only strengthens the relevance and impact of our initiatives but also fosters dialogue, mutual learning, and shared responsibility between adults and young people.
Collaborating with adults who work on various initiatives, the YAB girls and boys take part in:
Planning interventions for other young people.
Plan activities in our cities or online.
Training courses for young people
Training trips abroad to develop thematic skills and self-confidence.
